Greetings, I just wanted to announce the new Rabid Lemur Productions site!
Wow… it’s been about five months since my last post here.
I will endeavour to be more consistent in the future. 
Site5, themes, and CMS testing
So, I finally broke down and purchased an account at http://www.site5.com, which gives me MySQL database support, and allows me to host popular Content Management Systems (the service I’m using now limits my content quite a bit).
I’m pretty excited… so far I’m checking out Joomla! and Wordpress, and am going to look into a few others (all very important for a Web Designer’s credentials).
Hopefully I’ll be posting some CMS themes and sites soon!
No news is good news….
It’s been a long time since I’ve updated (nearly 6 months).
Since last I left this blog I’ve been working for Minnesota Power (as a Graphic/Web Designer) and have been busy with that as well as a few theatre exploits at the Douglas County Historical Society.
Anyway, it’s nice to be busy (and out of school).
Recently, I finished working on the Minnesota Power Outage Center page (which was a collaborative effort) and am working on creating a site for Minnesota Power’s construction guide.
I’m looking forward to being able to post more of my projects here… as well as insights into web design in general. It’s always interesting to see what various tricks people have up their sleeves.
I’ll also be posting some themes here… at some point.
Site updates.
I had a lot of fun playing around with WordPress plugins today. A new contact form has been added as a result, as well as Google Analytics (which I had heard about in reference to JavaScript, but never WordPress specifically).
There were a lot of other cool plugins (many of which I have no use for, but intend to explore) like a e-comm shopping cart, and a Flash powered photo album.
Speaking of Flash, I’ve just downloaded Flash CS5 (the trial version) and am excited to play around with it. I’ve taken a class in web animation (specifically pertaining to Flash), but that was about a year ago, so I’m a little rusty at the moment.
Hopefully I’ll be posting some animations soon.
Also, I feel like giving a shout-out to jZip, which is basically a free version of WinZip. Anyway, it allowed me to access files I wouldn’t have been able to, and saved me some money.
Today I updated the site a bit… adding a contact form (as I mentioned above), my résumé, and this post.
Yay for progression.
*Sigh* I must be going, though. My final project (which I’ll probably post later) and other homework is calling me.

Ten more days…
Hello, and welcome to my first blog posting (well, first tech blog posting, at least). I intend to update frequently, and fill the site with web-development thoughts, experiments, and outside projects.
Anyway, I’m excited about graduating (from Lake Superior College). Next Tuesday is officially my last day of school… and then I’ll be receiving a Certificate in Web Development.
I’ve taken courses pertaining to Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop, as well as scripting courses focusing on Visual Basic, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, XHTML, HTML,CSS, and XML.
I’m planning on focusing on CMS platforms, JavaScript, and Flash (well, if I can scrounge up enough money for the program) in the immediate future, and attempting to work on teaching myself Java a little later on.
So that’s probably the future of my blog postings, at this point.
